a browser's find in page over a short page of prose. type and every match lights up, enter steps through them, and the scrollbar marks where each one is.

key insight: the matches are painted with the css custom highlight api, so no text is wrapped in a span. a match can cross an element, and the current one is the only drawn box, gliding from match to match.

matching ignores case and accents, so cafe finds café and zoe finds zoë. a match in the shut notebook at the foot opens it, the way a browser opens a <details>.
